This is a small painting inspired by a day trip to New Paltz N.Y. a small college town with an active arts community. There seems to be many little hidden vistas offering painting and photo opportunities. My wife and I will be returning soon to uncover more of it's treasures. The town is in Ulster County and is a friendly place to relax and browse the small unique shops. Ulster Evening is 6x8 oil on linen panel and was painted using a pallette of red, blue and yellow plus white.
Joe... the you do great work..with some, one can feel the picture.. and Ulster is breathtaking like many areas of NY State!!
